About"Commerce on the other hand is relatively quick essentially creative, highly effective and efficient and fundamentally honest because we can't exchange value for very long if we don't trust each other. So we use the tools of commerce primarily for our work but the question we bring to it is; 'How do we love all the children of all species for all time?' So we start our designs with that question Because what we realise today is that modern culture appears to have adopted a strategy of tragedy. If we come here and say well I didn't intend to to cause global warming on my way here-Its not part of my plan. Then we realise that it's part of our De facto plan, because it's the thing that's happening that we have no other plan. So if you don't have an end game of something delightful then you're just moving chess peices around if you don't know you've taken the king. So perhaps we can develop a strategy of change that involves humility.
So as Kevin Kelly pointed out, 'there is no end game, there's an infinite game and we're playing in that infinite game and so we call it Cradle to Cradle. Our Goal is a delightfully diverse, safe, healthy and just world, with clean air, water, soil and power-economically, equitably, ecologically and elegantly enjoyed-Period!
Which part of this don't you like?"

C2 SDC | Cradle2 Sustainable Design Competition
If we had a place and a choice of where to live, what would you imagine that to be? Is it big or small, wide or narrow, beautiful or banal; would these ideas influence your choice? Perhaps yes or no, but what if the place actually addressed your needs while being environmentally friendly? What kind of place would that look like? If we were to take these ideas and sustainable practices, would this place be Cradle2? Now take everything we've just questioned and imbue these ideas into either a student housing facility on campus or a house near Tech Terrace. It should address the needs of the students/inhabitants but respond to the environment in its physical form. This building should also respond to the social condition while preserving a low building footprint.
What is Cradle2?
Cradle2 is the idea that all things that are manufactured are developed by using materials that are eco-friendly. These materials, once used in their origin of purpose would be reintroduced to earth and dissolve much like a leaf does when it falls to the ground. Or perhaps that the virgin material, once used will be re-used in another product, continuing its life cycle until it can no longer be used.
Here at C2 SDC, the student housing should incorporate a living style that using organic materials that can easily be reclaimed by our planet. The materials and building should be able to be recycled after its initial use is complete.
